We've just had our gas burner serviced, and Premiere Servicing has classified it as 'At Risk/imminently dangerous' Can we still use it?

Following the proper protocols outlined in the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure, we advise against using the gas appliance. However, we understand that shutting down production can have significant consequences. In extreme circumstances, if the gas appliance is to remain in use, a risk assessment must be conducted by the responsible person.

Why is my gas appliance classified as 'At Risk' or 'Imminently Dangerous'?

A gas appliance is classified as 'At Risk' when it has one or more faults that could potentially become dangerous in the future, posing a threat to life or property.

A gas appliance is classified as 'Imminently Dangerous' when it presents an immediate threat to life or property if it continues to be used.

What is the next best step to take now that my gas appliance isn’t safe?

After classifying a gas appliance as ‘At risk’ or ‘Imminently dangerous’ we will send a quotation to rectify the issues and to make the plant safe.

We strongly recommend that the necessary repairs to rectify the gas appliance are carried out as soon as reasonably practicable.
