Testing your compressed air breathing quality.

Compressed air is a necessity in the paint finishing industry, it is required for all spray guns and for the cleaning mechanism to function on powder booths with cartridge filters.

Many paint shops use compressed air for breathing apparatus and those that do are legally required to have the air supplying them quality tested at least every 3 months.

Why should I get my breathing air quality tested?

As stated in COSHH the quality of air being supplied to RPE should be tested, BS EN 12021 states this should be a maximum of 3 months, and when there has been a change to the production process.

What tests do Premiere carry out when testing the quality of air?

Our breathing air testing equipment measures for Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Oil mist, Water vapour (H2O) and the O²%.

Each test which is conducted is followed with a report with all the findings with a clear indication of whether the system is satisfactory.
